One of the exciting aspects of this being the 5th annual September Project is having the opportunity to work repeatedly over the years with creative librarians, dedicated community activists, engaged citizens, and … Socrates!

On September 3, 2008, Ronald Gross will lead a Socratic conversation in Gottesman Library at Columbia University in New York City. Gross, who is the co-chair of Columbia University’s University Seminar on Innovation in Education and can be seen around the city as Socrates, will lead a community conversation around two main questions:
What does patriotism mean to you, today?
How does patriotism need to be re-interpreted for the challenges we confront now?
The event takes place from 4 – 5 pm and is free to the public. Good luck Socrates!
